Jose Pablo is a local First Aid and CPR certified tour guide in Costa Rica.
He has extensive experience leading a variety of tours and attendees, including families, students, yogis, and day travelers, to name a few. Friendly and social by nature, he loves adventure and enjoys meeting new people!
Born and raised in San Jose, he got his start in the eco-tourism industry volunteering at the well-known rescue center, nature park, wildlife refuge, and cleaning up beaches. He cared for various exotic animals, including feeding and grooming them, and later worked at the Marino Las Baulas Park as local Tour guide watching turtles from his natural origin.
Throughout his life, he has participated in various environmental enrichment campaigns planting trees, collecting trash, cleaning up rivers, forests, and beaches alike. When he’s not enthusiastically sharing his beautiful home country with others, Jose Pablo’s other passions include eco study, hiking, climbing, surfing, mountain biking, and gardening. and nature photography, kayaking.
Jose Pablo’s love of Costa Rica and his passion for nature and eco-preservation comes through in everything that he does. He can’t wait to share the culture, wildlife, geology, and breathtaking beauty of Costa Rica with you! He also feels it is his duty to pass on his extensive knowledge of Costa Rica’s biodiversity to others, and teach them the importance of nature conservation. You too can be part of the big step in protecting and caring of our planet.
Jose Pablo is also a passionate photographer of the wildlife from Costa Rica. During his free time he goes with his wife Karen into the field to do researching for reptiles and amphibians at some specific areas, or to do birdwatching locally and around Costa Rica. This is how Jose Pablo has enriched his knowledge and gets to make his greatest passion ¡fully enjoy the wildlife of Costa Rica!
